A Little Heart Found Its Way Home

Some plants are love at first sight.

Not because they are the rarest or the biggest, but because they simply make you smile.

This tiny Hoya kerrii 'Albomarginata' arrived with one perfect heart-shaped leaf, creamy margins, a handful of healthy roots, and the promise of new growth waiting beneath the surface.

There is something special about bringing home a small cutting and imagining what it might become. Will it stay a single heart for a while, or surprise me with new vines and leaves? Only time will tell.

For now, she has found her place among the other little projects in my cabinet — tucked into a small cup of sphagnum and perlite, surrounded by bright light, patience, and hope.

Sometimes the smallest plants steal the biggest piece of your heart.

Welcome home, little heart.
